This article helps you ensure that your WiFi network is configured correctly to allow the FitMachine sensors to connect.
If you're planning to have your FitMachine sensors use your own WiFi Network (and not a MOVUS Gateway), the details you will need for setup can be found below:
WiFi Frequencies Supported
Only 2.4 GHz WiFi networks are currently supported.
|WPA2 Personal Secured Network||Required||Required|
|Enterprise WiFi (RADIUS)||Not supported, planned for the future|
Network and Firewall Configuration
Your firewall OR gateway should be configured to allow FitMachine to communicate with the following IP addresses.
|IP Addresses||Domain Name||Protocol||Ports|
|22.214.171.124, 126.96.36.199||edge.movus.com.au||TCP||80, 443|
If the FitMachine was installed prior to July 2022, you may need to configure your firewall to allow communication with the following additional MOVUS Service. Check with us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are unsure.
FitMachine requires a DHCP Server on the network to properly configure its communications.
The FitMachine will configure its network settings using your DHCP Server and resolve domain names using the designated DNS servers.
FitMachine can not currently be configured to use a proxy service.
Additional Network Requirements (Legacy Firmware)
Please contact your sales representative to determine if these requirements apply to your fleet.
|Domain Name/IP Address||Protocol||Ports|
|188.8.131.52||TCP, UDP||53 (DNS)|
If you have any difficulty with connecting your FitMachine to your WiFi network, please get in contact with email@example.com.
If you are unable to configure WiFi via the FitMachine App, you may have an early version of a FitMachine sensor on-site, which are only capable of connectivity via a MOVUS Gateway. In this case, please contact our support team for assistance.
